Sparkly Princess Suncatcher

Hi my Stamping Friends and Happy May!!
I have a fun project for you today, something different than a card!
I took a look at the Pretty Cute Stamps' Gnomies set and decided that the little girl gnome could easily also be a princess.
I stamped her out and created this cute sun catcher!

I stamped out the girl and flowers using black Memento ink and colored them with Spectrum Noir markers and cut them out.  The base of the sun catcher is made with rosettes that were cut using a Sizzix die and scallop pieces that were punched with a Stampin' Up punch.  One side is green and the other pink. The girl and flowers are on both sides.

I used nylon fishing line to string up the sun catcher.  Sparkle was added to the girl and flowers with Stickles and Wink of Stella.

I put tulle in the top of her hat because that's the way princess hats are! :)

The flowers below the rosettes were part of the Sizzix die.  I glued them back-to-back one side green and the other pink, onto the fishing line.  The centers of the flowers are pretty embellishments from Queen & Co.  I finished off the sun catcher with a pretty glass bobble at the bottom.

This project was so fun to make.  I hope I have inspired you to take a second look at your stamps.  What will you create??

You can find the Gnomies set and lots more cute stamp sets over at the Pretty Cute Stamps website.

Thanks for visiting, and Happy Stamping!!

Here is a look at the April Release....

The card that I have for you today is made using the Such A Tool set shown above.
This is a great set to make a card for Father's Day or maybe a birthday card for the man in your life :)

I started with a black card base and then layered on yellow card stock and a wood embossed layer.
I stamped the greeting with brown Memento ink on cream card stock and snipped the ends with decorative scissors.  I punched holes and attached twine to hang it on the "tree".  The hammer and nails were stamped onto gray card stock with black Memento ink and colored with Spectrum Noir markers and I put a little Wink of Stella on the metal part of the hammer and the nails for a little more "metallic" look.  I fussy cut them out and glued to the card.
On the inside...

...I stamped the sentiment and the tape measure with Memento black ink and colored the tape measure
with Spectrum Noir Markers and then used some washi tape as an accent.

You Are So "Deer" To Me

Hi my stamping peeps!
I have a sweet card for you today featuring the Forest Friends set from

I just love the color combination and the sparkly sequins pick up those colors.
I started with a white card and layered on the pink cardstock and corrugated layer, along with another pink strip.  The stamped piece and green layer were cut using stitched dies.

I colored the deer and created the grass with Spectrum Noir markers.
Pretty Cute Stamps are clear, so I was able to position the sentiment just where I wanted it.
This card would be suitable for many different occasions depending on what you stamp inside.

I finished the card off with the addition of the pretty sequins and a flower on top of a twine bow.

Thanks so much for visiting my blog,  Please come back soon!

Today we are showcasing projects that we have made using stamps from the March Release.

I just love the new Matryoshka Mom set!

I decided to make my Mom a Mother's Day card with it.

I started with a white card and layered on a metallic gold card stock wrapped with red ribbon.  I then topped that with the patterned paper piece and then another layer that I embossed with a swirl design embossing folder.  I cut the two biggest dolls in half after coloring them up with my Spectrum Noir makers so they give the effect of stacking inside of each other.  I popped up the smallest doll and the heads of the other two with pop dots, added the greeting, bow and some pretty sparkles to finish up the outside of the card.

I fancied up the inside a bit too.

It's Time For a Sneak Peek!

Don't you just love new stamp releases??  It's so much fun!  Today I have a sneak peek for you of the new Forest Friends set from Pretty Cute Stamps.
I used the cute little hedgehog that is included in this fun set.  To get the reverse image of the hedgehog, I stamped it onto a larger solid rubber stamp and then stamped that onto my paper.  Works like a charm!
I colored the little critters with my Spectrum Noir markers. The background paper is printed canvas from a Hobby Lobby stack and the embellishments are Twinkle Goosebumps from Queen & Co.
Be sure to check out the Pretty Cute Stamps Blog today for more sneak peeks and hop along with us for the blog hop tomorrow.  Thanks for stopping by!

My Three Bears

Happy Friday and happy first day of Spring!!!  Woo Hoo!!!!
Today I have three cards to show you all using the same cute little bear stamp from the Warm Fuzzies set by Pretty Cute Stamps

This first little bear is colored up like a grizzly.  I colored all of the bears with my Spectrum Noir markers.  I have die-cut the rectangles and the tree background and then punched the grass.
I used sentiments from the same set for both the front of the card....

...and the inside.

The second little bear is a black bear and he is all ready for a beary fun birthday party!

I used a sentiment stamp from the Leapin' Lizards set for the front of the card, and the inside sentiment is put together from the Warm Fuzzies set.

The third little bear card is perfect for a baby shower.

I started with a square card for this one, layered patterned paper, then a die-cut layer and then two punched pieces.  I finished it up with some pretty ribbon and pearls, oh and a little Wink of Stella on the little bear's nose, foot pads and claws.

I used some liquid glass on all of the bear's eyes to make them shiny.
All of the patterned papers are from Doodlebug.
These three bear cards were so much fun to make and I hope they have brought a little smile to your day!

Here Comes Peter Cottontail....

....hoppin' down the bunny trail.  :)

Hi Happy Stampers, and Happy Spring to you!!  Today I have a sweet Easter Bunny card for you using the super cute Easter Cuties set from Pretty Cute Stamps.

I started with a top fold cream colored card.  The next layer is Doodlebug's patterned paper which has been cut on the diagonal.  It is double-sided paper, so I had to cut two and then pieced them together.

I stamped the cute bunny and colored her with my Spectrum Noir markers then added a cute little ribbon bow to her ear.  I also stamped the basket of eggs and colored them and added a little Wink of Stella for some sparkle to a few of the eggs.  The bunny layer and the background layer were die cut.  I punched the grass piece, but then die cut along with the yellow background.  The Easter basket was attached with a pop dot and a little glue just under the handle.  I stamped out the greeting and then punched both the greeting and background with the same punch from Stamping' Up.  Some pretty yellow pearls from Queen & Co. were just the right touch to finish off this card.

Enjoy the warmth and beauty that Spring brings and I hope you have fun stamping too!
Thanks for stopping by :)
Happy Stamping!

I made a super fun card using the brand new Lucky set.

Lucky 4x4" Stamp Set

Isn't he adorable!!  I started with a green card and filled the front with four leaf clovers that I created by using a heart to make my initial pattern.  Of course I had to glitter them up to make them sparkle, and then I added in some gold coins.  I colored this cute little leprechaun with my Spectrum Noir markers.

I used these stamps from the set to create the greeting inside the card...

Got Sushi??

It's Pretty Cute Stamps Sneak Peek time and I have a peek of a really fun set, Got Sushi?
There are so many fun images in this set to pick from that I had a hard time choosing what I wanted to use for this sneak peek!  I decided to go with what I like to eat at the sushi place, miso.

I wanted to use what I think are colors and textures that you find in Asian restaurants, so I used the gold colored corrugated card stock because it reminds me of the mats that they use when making sushi, and then the red background sprayed with gold was just what I needed behind these cute images.  I anchored the bowl and spoon onto a piece of wood grained washi tape.

I stamped the greeting into a speech bubble from the Let's Talk set.  To make it fit, I just inked up one word at a time to make two lines of text instead of one as the greeting is actually all on one line.

I think it turned out pretty cute, don't you?

Be sure to visit the Pretty Cute Stamps Blog today, there is a freebie!  Tomorrow too!!  Don't forget to hop along on Wednesday for the full February release, it's going to be fun!

Thanks so much for visiting!

Hugs and Kisses Shaker

Hi Happy Stampers!
I have such a fun card for you today!  First off I have to give credit for this card idea to galecrafts of You Tube, thank you Gale!
This is a double shaker card, and so much fun to make!

You simply make a pocket with a piece of cardstock and the same size of a piece of vellum, putting the pieces together with washi tape.  Before you seal up the 4th side, you put in your sequins and then attach that layer to your card.  I made the top shaker piece using a tag die from Pretty Pink Posh.  First I stamped up the background with the "x's" & "o's" stamp from the Pretty Cute Stamps Be Mine set, heat embossed in gold, colored the hearts red and sparkled them up with Wink of Stella clear, then I added red and gold sequins and finished up the shaker.  I stamped the kissy lips from the same set and heat embossed with clear to make them shiny, and attached to the tag shaker.

This shaker card makes such a pleasant sound when you shake it, I just love it!  Thanks again Gale for such a fun card idea!
I hope I have inspired you to try making a double shaker card.  The Be Mine set is shown below, there are so many fun images and sentiments in this great set!

Twisted Lizards :)

Happy Friday fellow stampers!!  Today I am bringing you this super fun Twisted Easel card.
I used the Leapin' Lizards and Be Mine sets from Pretty Cute Stamps
I started by stamping the cute lizards and coloring them with Spectrum Noir markers and then fussy cut them out.  To make the Twisted Easel, you start with a square card folded on the side.  This one is 5 1/2" square.  You then score the front of the card base from the top right corner down to the bottom left corner.  I chose to layer white cardstock on top of the base card and then two different patterned papers.  Your focal point, in this case the heart with lizards, is placed in the center of the card and glued on the bottom right side only (the half of the heart that is on the green paper).
I added some liquid glass to the lizard's eyes and the tongue, some Stickles to their cheeks and spots and for a bit more sparkle there is a glitter doily behind the red heart.  I finished the heart off with some sequins from Pretty Pink Posh.
Now for the surprise to this sort of twists open and rests on the heart greeting inside.
The heart is popped up with foam dots to allow the front of the card to "catch" behind it.  The greeting inside the card, along with the "x's" and "o's" are from the Be Mine set.  I used a clear Wink of Stella pen to add a little sparkle to the hearts inside of the "o's".
Valentine's Day will soon be here, I hope yours is filled with love.
Happy Stamping :)
