Time To Start Thinking About Gifts

Hi My Friends!
Time for a new challenge from Pretty Cute Stamps!  The challenge for November is "Gift Giving".
This one worked out great for me because I was asked to do some little 3x3 cards that would be included with cookie plates for work.
I decided to use the cute Snomies set for these cards.

I punched the background paper with a scallop punch and inked around the edges of the card after rounding the corners.  I colored the snow people to match the cute background papers and popped them up with foam dots. It's hard to see, but I used Wink of Stella to add some festive sparkle.

These were really fun to make!  I hope you will join in on the fun of this challenge!  You can find all of the details on the Pretty Cute Stamps Blog.

Thank you for visiting and Happy Stamping!

Furry Christmas

It's raining cats and dogs here on the Oregon Coast, and I have been stamping cats and dogs!
Being a pet lover, I was just so tickled with this November Pretty Cute Stamps release, and what a cute blog hop!  If you just visited Joann's blog, then you are on the right track, but if you would like to start from the beginning, just click here to get back to the Pretty Cute Stamps blog.
I wanted to include all of the cats and dogs on my card, so I did just that in this portrait card.

I created the background using paw prints from both the Doggone It! set and the Cattitude set, stamping them in red and green.  I made masks for each of the pets by stamping onto sticky note paper, and then I stamped the pet images onto the card masking as I went so that I could get the images behind one another.  Once I had it all stamped, then I had the fun of creating their little personalities in how I colored them up.  I colored them with Spectrum Noir markers.  Once I had them colored, I went back in with a Distress marker and colored the blue background.  I used a Distress marker because it is water-based and doesn't bleed into the images colored with alcohol markers.  Both this piece and the green one beneath it were die-cut with dies from Lawn Fawn.  I put a little sparkle on the eyes and noses with Wink of Stella, and the sparkly bows are foam stickers.

Here's the inside..

The little paw print and sentiment are from the Fur Baby set.

You will find all three of the new sets (see below) on sale right now through November 18, 2015 in the Pretty Cute Stamps store, plus you can save even more if you get the whole bundle!
Be sure to hop along with us and leave a comment on each blog, there is a $15.00 Pretty Cute Stamps gift certificate as blog candy (a prize)!

Meowy Christmas :)

This is just a Sneak Peek, but I have to tell you....I love, love, love the November release from Pretty Cute Stamps .... just wait until you see it all!!!
My card is using the new Cattitude set and I decided to make a Christmas card because "tis the season"!!

I stamped with Memento black ink and then colored this cute little kitty with Spectrum Noir markers.  All of the design papers are from Doodlebug.  I glammed the tree up with some confetti and added sparkle to the star with Wink of Stella.  I used Fun Flock to add fur to the Santa hat.  The cute bow and tag were both die-cut, the bow is from Paper Smooches and the tag is from Pretty Pink Posh.  The cute sentiment is from the new Fur Baby set.  I also used the Dear Santa and Oh Christmas Tree sets.
Be sure to visit the Pretty Cute Stamps blog for more Sneak Peeks, inspiration and a free SVG cutting file and clip art!  Don't miss the blog hop November 13th!

Day Off

I took a vacation day today!  I have an upcoming stamping event at
my house this week and needed to get stuff done for that, which I did and had some
time left over so I decided to ink up some Unity stamps and make a card.
I love the vintage feel that this card ended up with.
The paper that I used is called Coffee Break and is by Prima.  The wooden donut embellishment is also by Prima.  I stamped the sentiment onto the border strip that was at the top of the paper and popped it up with foam tape.  The doily in the corner is stamped and heat embossed with white powder.  I added a couple of different washi tapes to sit the cup on and you can't see if very well, but there is Wink of Stella on the coffee and steam.
Thanks for stopping by.

Home SWEET Home

Hi my stamping friends!!
I have the sweetest card for you today made with the Gingerbread House stamp set

I used kraft cardstock for the card base and also the stamped layer.  In between, is a layer of patterned paper from Doodlebug.  The two layers were both punched with a Martha Stewart border punch.

I stamped the image with Memento Black Ink and I used older Close To My Heart markers to color it up.  This card was soooo fun to decorate!!
The snow was achieved using Snowriter by DecoArt and sprinkled with glitter. The cinnamon dots on the roof trim is red Liquid Pearls.  I paper-pieced the heart, gumdrops, lollipops and the candy trim around the door because I wanted parts of those to be white, so I stamped the image on white cardstock and cut those parts out to piece onto the kraft.  I used Stickles on the gumdrops and Tim Holtz's Distress Stickles in Clear Rock Candy on the lollipops and the candy trim around the door.  The door knob is an enamel dot from Stampin' Up!  I inked the edges of the stamped layer and the card with Close To My Heart ink.  The cute bows were cut out with one of the dies from the Paper Smooches Bow die set.
I have never made a real gingerbread house, but this was the next best thing!!
This stamp set has some really sweet sentiments to go along with the image (see below).
Visit the Pretty Cute Stamps store for this set and other great holiday sets that you can use to create your cards for the season!

I Challenge You!

Hi My Stamping Friends :)
I am challenging you to make a "thank you" card and post it to the
Pretty Cute Stamps blog!!  You may win a prize!
You have to use a Pretty Cute Stamps stamp, and for the rest of the challenge rules, click here.
I decided to go for sort of a CAS (clean and simple) card design this time.

I dry brushed three colors of Close To My Heart inks across white cardstock and then
stamped the greeting from the Many Thanks set in black.  The hearts and postmark stamps are from the Pen Pals set.  I added sparkle with sequins, Stickles and some Wink of Stella.  I layered this piece onto patterned paper from Doodlebug Designs and then onto a dark red card.
Inside the card is a sentiment from the Many Thanks set.

Thank YOU for visiting, and I hope you will take on the challenge! :)
The prize is a $15.00 gift certificate to the Pretty Cute Stamps store.
Happy Stamping!

Pretty Cute Pumpkin Patch

Hi My Stamping Friends!
Have you picked out your pumpkin yet?  You couldn't go wrong if the pumpkins were all as cute as the ones in this pumpkin patch!!
To create this card, I started with a kraft card base and layered on patterned paper from Doodlebug Designs and some corrugated card punched with a grassy border.
The cute pumpkin is from the Pretty Cute Stamps set, Thanksgiving Eats and I stamped it out
five times onto white Spectrum Noir paper and five times onto different patterned papers from Doodlebug.  I cut and paper-pieced the patterned papers onto the white and then colored the stems and leaves with Spectrum Noir markers.  I also put a cute little face from the same stamp set onto one of the pumpkins.  After gluing the pumpkins where I wanted to place them, I punched out some grass tufts and tucked them into the pumpkin patch.  The greeting is from the Bewitched set.

I hope you are enjoying the Fall season!

Happy Stamping!

Polar Bear Greetings

Hi My Stamping Friends!
It is time for Day 2 of the October Pretty Cute Stamps Release!
If you found your way here from Dawn's blog, you are right on course, but if you would
like to start from the beginning of the hop, click here.
I am loving all of the inspiration from the Design Team using the cute new stamps from
this release, and by the way, all of these stamps are available and on sale right now in the
Pretty Cute Stamps Store!
I have to tell you, I had so much fun making this card!
My card features the new set, Warm Winter Wishes.

I created the landscape for this card using Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers which are a watercolor marker and so vibrant and fun to color with.  I only used one of the markers and got all
the different levels of color from it.  After letting the watercolored piece dry, I stamped the
smallest snowflake from the set to add that snowy, festive touch and then I glittered them up
with glue and dry glitter.  I layered that piece onto some patterned paper, which I also used for the bear's scarf, and then onto a white card.  The polar bear is just one of the cute critters from this set (see full set below), and I colored him up with Spectrum Noir markers and then paper-pieced his warm scarf.  I glued the bottom of the polar bear down, but popped up the top with foam dots to add some dimension.  The final touch was the greeting, which I stamped in a pretty blue ink.

All of the new sets from this release will be on sale through Oct. 13th, 2015 and
for a really great deal you can purchase the whole bundle!

Cute Penguin Tags

Hi Stamping Friends!

It's time for the October Sneak Peeks from Pretty Cute Stamps and
today I have some really fun and cute tags featuring the new
stamp set, Cool Chick.

He's so cute, I had to color him up in a bunch of different

I used Spectrum Noir markers to color the penguin, and then I paper-pieced
his scarf and matched the scarf colors to color the hat.
The fun fuzzy stuff on the hat is called Fun Flock and you use it just like you
would loose glitter, and you can find it in different colors too.
To make the tags festive, I decided to pop the penguin onto some
sparkly glitter paper that I die-cut and then onto a tag.

You could also use this as a fun ornament!
Be sure to pop on over to the Pretty Cute Stamps Blog

Toil and Trouble

Hi My Stamping Friends!
I haven't seen too many Halloween cards, so that is what I am bringing you today.
The little witches in this Bewitched set from Pretty Cute Stamps are so cute!
This little witch is cooking up a special brew full of creepy crawlies and toads for you :)

The witch and cauldron have been stamped up using Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored
with Spectrum Noir markers.  The sparkle was added using Stickles.  I am giving credit to my friend, Jo Rauch, for the fence idea.  She had a class that I went to and we made a card using a fence like this.  I just cut strips using an oak brown card stock, embossed them in a wood grain embossing folder and then inked over them using Close To My Heart Chocolate ink and a finger dauber.
I snipped the ends off with decorative scissors.
The sentiment is just one of the great sayings from this cute set!
The black and gold design paper pulled the background together for this bewitching scene.  Go check out this set and so many more at Pretty Cute Stamps!
Happy Stamping!

R U Up 4 A Challenge??

Hi Stampers!
It's time for a new challenge over at the Pretty Cute Stamps Blog.
The theme this month is "Include A Button".  You can find the challenge rules and details
 by clicking here.
I created a fun shaker card for this challenge and the buttons are part of the shaker, along with
some fun starry glitter, sequins and clear beads.  My intention for this card is to go with a baby gift.

The set I used for this card is Sew Amazing.

The background paper is from Doodlebug Designs, the tag die and pretty sequins are from Pretty Pink Posh.  I embossed the tag with a button embossing folder.  The images were all stamped with Memento black ink and colored with Distress Markers.

I hope you will join in the fun and create a project for the "Add A Button" challenge.

Happy Stamping!

Thank You!

Hi Stamping Friends!!
It's that fun time of the month again!  Time for a blog hop and monthly stamp release from
If you found your way here from Amy's blog you are on the right path, but if you would like
to start from the beginning, just click here.
This month the hop is a two day event and the PCS design team has lots of
fun projects to show off these great new stamps!
The set that I am featuring is Many Thanks.

I started with water color card stock and stamped several of the sentiments with Versa Mark and heat embossed with clear powder.  Next, I used Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers to
color sections of the card and then sprayed water so the color would blend.  After drying, I placed a clean piece of copy paper over this piece and ironed it to remove the embossing, leaving the nice white words.  I got inspiration to do this from a You Tube video that I watched.

I distressed the edges of this piece and wrapped the ribbon around it before attaching it to the card front.  The banner is another sentiment from the set.  I underlined the words with one of the markers and went over the lines with a waterbrush.  Some Stickles, Wink of Stella and Pretty Pink Posh sequins added all of the sparkles.

You should be able to find just the right "thank you" with this set!

Now it's time for some blog candy...a $15.00 gift certificate to the Pretty Cute Stamps store!

Sneak In and Take a Peek!!

Hi Stampers!!  It's time for a Sneak Peek at the September Pretty Cute Stamps Release!!

Today I'm giving you a little peek at the new Thanksgiving Eats set.
The whole set is super cute...just sayin'!!

I wanted this card to look very Pumpkin Spicy, so I used kraft card stock along with some super cute pumpkin paper from Doodlebug.  Inking around all the edges gives it that distressed look, plus I used a distressing tool to rough up the edges of the pumpkin paper.  I stamped the adorable pumpkin and pie images with black Memento ink and colored them with Spectrum Noir markers.  I had to give the whipped cream a little glistening with some clear Wink of Stella.  The sentiment is also from the Thanksgiving Eats set.  The cute twine is lawn trimmings from Lawn Fawn.

For more peeks and inspiration, be sure to check out the Pretty Cute Stamps blog!  There will be free SVG images and clipart each Sneak/Release day.

Thanks for stopping by and be sure to join us this Thursday and Friday for the Hop!

From One Nut To Another!

Happy September my stamping friends!
School is starting, the air is changing, there's just something about the feeling of Fall.
Here's a cute card just right for sending a little "hello" to someone you know to
welcome in the new season.

This cute little squirrel is from the Pretty Cute Stamps Nuts About You set.
I stamped him onto cream colored card stock with brown Memento ink and colored him with chalks.  I also stamped out some of the acorns from the set and finished them in the same manner.
To assemble the card, I started with a cream colored card, layered on some cute fall
paper from Doodlebug which I added ribbon and a bow to before adhering to the card base, then layered a die-cut piece on top.  I placed the squirrel so he was standing on the ribbon, and added the acorns and stamped the greeting.  There are so many cute sayings in this set!  I finished it off with some fall colored sequins.

On the inside, I stamped some of the very tiny acorns along with the sentiment.  Did you see Mr. Squirrel peeking over the top?
Be sure to pop on over to the Pretty Cute Stamps store to find this and many
other adorable stamp sets, and you can find lots of cute cards and inspiration
on the Pretty Cute Stamps Blog.

Show of Hands...

.... or at least one hand!!
Hello, and thank you for visiting my blog!
Today I wanted to show you the ATC that I made for this month's OR.C.A.S. (Oregon Coast Avid Stampers) August club meeting.
Each month we make and exchange ATC's.  We started in January with the letter "A", and have been working our way through the alphabet.  This month was the letter "H".
This was my ATC.

I stamped the hand with Memento black ink and then colored it with Spectrum Noir markers.  After coloring, I stamped the image again on note paper and tore the paper around it.  I put some two-way glue on the paper and let it dry creating a mask for the image.  After masking, I started applying Ranger Distress ink (Tea Dye color), building up the color on the outside edge.  When I was satisfied with that, I used water to drip splatters over the background and then mopped up the excess with a paper towel.  That left the bleached out splotches.  I then stamped the "H's" which are from two different alphabets sets by Close To My Heart, and finished around the edge of the card with some black pigment ink.  I stamped a second card with a Stampin' Up stamp that lets you fill out all the details about your ATC, and glued it to the back of my card.  The little envelope behind it is something that I found at Hobby Lobby and they come in a package of 12, I think, 2 or 3 each of different colors.  They are just right for holding an ATC!
Thanks for stopping by and Happy Stamping!

Smiles Across The Miles

Hi My Stamping Friends!!
I have a sweet little card for you today using a stamp set

I just love the cute little characters in this set and it has great sentiments and sayings too!
I stamped the girl and dog onto Ranger watercolor paper and then colored them with my brand new Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers.  So much fun!!  After coloring and fussy cutting out the images, I popped them up onto the card front on top of some die-cut pieces that I adhered on top of a patterned layer.  I stamped out the greeting and cut into a fun banner and popped it up also.  I debated about putting on some bling, but in the end I decided I liked this one just as it was.
I will post the full stamp set below so you can see all of the cute images.
You can also see this card over on the Pretty Cute Stamps Blog, along with a ton of other cards and projects.

Jellyfish and Smooshing!

Hi My Stamping Friends!
It's time for a new challenge over on the Pretty Cute Stamps Blog, and this month
the challenge is Any Card.
I tried a technique on this card that was so much fun!
Ink Smooshing!
Look this technique up on You Tube and you will find some great instructional
videos to help you get going, but it's really easy!!
After creating my background with the Smooshing, I stamped this sweet Jellyfish from the Pretty Cute Stamps Sea Ya Soon stamp set.

I highlighted the jellyfish with some clear Wink of Stella.  The greeting is created with stamps from the Sea Life Sentiments set.  Of course I had to add some sparkle, so I sprinkled on some pretty gems from Studio G.  I attached the watercolor panel with foam tape to the pink and black layers, and then onto a blue card.
I will definitely be using this technique again!!

Here are the stamp sets I used...

Please join us and make any card using Pretty Cute Stamps and link it up over
on the Pretty Cute Stamps Blog.  You will find the guidelines for the challenge there, and you might win a prize!!
Thanks for visiting, and Happy Stamping! :)

Shake Rattle Robot

Hi My Stamping Friends!!
I had so much fun creating this card for a few different reasons...
first of all, this BOTday stamp set from Pretty Cute Stamps is adorable,
second, I really like making shaker cards, AND third, I got to use my brand new Fuse tool!!!

I die cut the card base and purple layer together to create the opening for the shaker
and then used the next bigger die for the top white layer.  I had just the right Sizzix gear embossing
folder to use and I brushed over the raised gears with some gray Distress Ink.

I colored up the robot and balloon with Spectrum Noir markers and highlighted the cheeks and tongue with some white dots using a gel pen.  I used all sorts of beads and sequins as well as some gears that I stamped out using the same set.  The Fuse tool worked like a charm to seal up the shaker pocket which was made from a piece of a page protector.

I really like that you can see the ingredients of the shaker from both the outside and inside
of the card.  The sentiment and gear are stamped from the same set.  The other gears are not attached,
I just set them there for the photo :)

Thank you for visiting, and if you would like to have this fun set, you can find it

Happy Stamping!
